Subscription Terms
How the Sky News app's pricing works, and how to manage any subscription.
Last updated: 3 January 20251. Free to download
The Sky News app is free to download and use for core features, including breaking news headlines, live TV streaming, podcasts and news alerts. No payment is required to access these features.
2. In-app purchases
If the app offers any optional premium features or in-app purchases, these are billed and managed through your Apple ID, following Apple's standard App Store billing terms.
3. How to check or cancel a subscription
If you have subscribed to any optional feature through the App Store, you can view, manage or cancel it directly through your device:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap "Subscriptions".
- Select the Sky News app subscription, if listed.
- Tap "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.
Cancelling stops future renewals; you can keep using any active subscription period until it ends.
4. Free trials
If a free trial is offered for any premium feature, it will convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in line with Apple's App Store policies.
5. Auto-renewal
Any subscription offered through the App Store renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within that 24-hour period.
6. Refunds
Refund requests for any App Store purchase are handled by Apple, not by this website or by us. See our Refund Policy page for step-by-step guidance on requesting a refund from Apple.
7. Changes to pricing or features
App pricing, features and any subscription tiers can change over time. Always check the current App Store listing for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
